About The Role
We’re hiring a City Operations Associate to support Picnic’s expansion. This is a dynamic and hands-on role ideal for someone early in their career who loves logistics and metrics. If you’re ready to dive in and build the foundational skills for a career in supply chain and operations, this is your chance!
What You'll Do: Your Launchpad into Logistics
This role is where the rubber meets the road. You won't just be watching; you'll be actively maintaining the systems that power our operation, giving you a crash course in high-growth logistics.
- Be the Data Dynamo: You’ll be the guardian of our operational data, ensuring it’s clean, accurate, and actionable. This means you'll learn the crucial link between data integrity and real-world delivery success.
- Master Quality Assurance: Sharpen your eye for detail by running essential quality checks and data audits. You'll proactively spot issues and keep our operations sharp, learning best practices in operational efficiency.
- Solve Real-World Roadblocks: Step up as the go-to problem solver for complex, process-driven requests. You'll manage critical tasks—from payment processing issues to necessary regulatory applications (alcohol, tobacco, health permits)—directly enabling our core Operations team to focus on daily execution.
- System Trainer & Supporter: Empower your colleagues by becoming an expert on our internal systems and tools. You’ll train new users and provide professional, friendly support via phone and email, developing crucial communication and leadership skills.
- Embrace the Start-up Hustle: No two days will be the same! You’ll jump in on diverse Business Operations projects whenever needed, giving you exposure to different facets of a fast-growing tech company and letting you discover where your next career move could be.
What We're Looking For: Your Starter Kit for Success
You don't need years of experience; we're looking for raw potential, a passion for getting things done, and a mindset ready to learn and grow!
- The Operator's Mindset: You're someone who can think strategically about why we do things but also loves rolling up your sleeves and executing the how. You enjoy making things happen!
- The Essential Communication Toolkit: Strong communication and organizational skills are key. You can manage multiple moving pieces and clearly articulate ideas and updates to your team.
- Resourceful & Ready for Action: You are entrepreneurial, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity. In a start-up environment, you see challenges not as roadblocks, but as puzzles to solve.
- A Spark for Our Mission: A genuine interest in food, startups, or improving the future of office-based culture. You understand that behind every data point is a hungry customer waiting for their perfect lunch.
- Education: A relevant degree or college diploma (e.g., Business, Logistics, Operations, or a similar field) is a plus, but we value demonstrated critical thinking and a high aptitude for learning above all else!
