About TubeScience Labs
TubeScience Labs is the applied-AI team inside TubeScience — the largest performance-video company in paid social. TubeScience is Meta's largest creative partner and AppLovin's #1 creative partner, producing 8,000+ original ads every month from a 100,000 sq ft Los Angeles studio, backed by a library of 1.6 million+ performance ads and $2B in annual managed ad spend. That makes one of the richest first-party creative-performance datasets anywhere.

Labs turns that data — and the playbook behind billions in spend — into frontier AI tools that actually ship. Our products run in production against real creative, real deadlines, and real budgets every day. The tools that graduate internally become products we ship to external clients.

About the Role
We're building the AI ecosystem that changes how our Creative Strategy team works. You'll be embedded day-to-day with the Strategy team, building the LLM-powered tools, data pipelines, and workflows strategists use to plan campaigns, write briefs, and evaluate creative.
This is a deeply hands-on, build-it-yourself role — you'll shape and build the tools that make up that system: the apps our industry-leading strategy team reaches for every day. The work runs from prototype to shipped product, built directly with AI coding tools like Claude Code and handed to engineering only when the problem calls for it. The hardest calls here are as much about what to build as how to build it: separating the one-off from the reusable, and shipping live tools rather than specs and roadmaps that sit in a drawer.

We care as much about craft as we do about capability. The right person is a PM who can build or an engineer with strong product instincts — either way, engineering depth is non-negotiable. They sweat the details that make a tool worth reaching for every day, and they own what they ship, end to end.

This role is in-person, in our Los Angeles headquarters.

In this role, you will:
  • Build and ship the tools: Take ownership of the AI tools strategists use every day — roadmap generators, brief scorers, hook writers, sprint planners, competitive intelligence tools. Real tools, used daily, with real usage metrics. The hard problems here are reliability, speed, and making complex strategy workflows feel simple.
  • Own the data pipeline: Turn raw performance data, consumer reviews, and competitive intel into structured inputs that feed every downstream tool. Python scripts, API integrations, SQL queries — you'll write and maintain all of it.
  • Drive adoption: A tool nobody uses is a tool that doesn't exist. Train the team, gather structured feedback, track usage, and iterate until it sticks.
  • Help shaping the roadmap: Bring a product and engineering point of view to how this tooling grows — what we build, in what order, and why.

You might be a good fit if you:
  • Are a PM or an engineer with a product sense — a strong builder comfortable shipping and operating production code, not just prototypes. Engineering depth is the floor for this role, not a bonus.
  • Have a strong UX sensibility — you build tools that feel obvious and pleasant to use, not just ones that technically work.
  • Have worked with APIs and can integrate LLM APIs without hand-holding.
  • Are comfortable with SQL at a working level — pulling data, writing joins, debugging pipeline issues.
  • Can get something deployed (Vercel, Railway, or equivalent) independently and own it end to end.
  • Learn fast in new domains — you don't need to know advertising coming in, but you need to pick it up quickly, and pick up our proprietary methodology alongside it.
  • Ship things, document things, and own things — and want measurable impact on a real business, not indefinite prototyping.

Strong candidates may also have:
  • Familiarity with direct-response or performance advertising, or a track record of picking up a complex domain fast.
  • Experience integrating AI into strategic workflows.
  • Experience building internal tools or platforms from scratch and living with the foundational decisions.

Annual Salary
$140,000–$180,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a performance bonus.

How we're different
Most AI tools never leave the demo. Ours can't hide — they're used by expert teams who notice every miss, against a real P&L, all day, every day. We're a small, senior group of scientists and veteran engineers from leading tech and consumer companies, and we hire deliberately for people who want hard problems, real users from day one, and room to own things end to end.

We work in tight loops: an idea can go from a prototype to a product in front of operators and clients in days. We start with unique leverage — proprietary data and the industry-leading playbook behind billions in ad spend — build the tools in-house, prove them in production at massive scale, and then ship the winners beyond TubeScience. Velocity beats perfection until something earns the right to scale.

Come work with us!
TubeScience Labs is the applied-AI team inside TubeScience, headquartered in Los Angeles. You'll join a small, senior group with an outsized surface area: real autonomy, a one-of-a-kind dataset, and a direct line from your code to real customers.

We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, plus generous access to frontier and open-weight models for day-to-day work, prototyping, and evals. Most of all, we offer the rare thing in applied AI: hard problems, expert users from day one, and the room to take an idea from prototype to shipped product. Come build at the frontier with us!

We encourage you to apply even if you don't believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will check every box as listed, and the best people we've hired rarely did. If this work excites you and you think you could do it well, we'd rather hear from you than have you rule yourself out — so please submit an application.
