Senior Motion Graphics Artist, Creative Studio

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and efficient Senior Motion Graphics Artist to join our growing team. You will be partnering with internal creatives and producers to create visually stunning and strategically effective motion graphics for Tubi Originals trailers. The right fit for this role will be someone who has 10+ years of motion design experience, within an Entertainment environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about all aspects of typography, design, and animation. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent knowledge of industry standard design programs for the creation of high-end motion graphic design projects from sketch to finish. This position requires at least 10+ years of work experience in Theatrical Motion Graphics.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities:

  • 2D and 3D design and animation of motion graphics for concurrent projects including trailers, main title designs, graphics packages, transitions, and more for a broad range of content genres including Entertainment, B2B, and Corporate
  • Concept original designs and present as style frames, storyboards, or mood boards
  • Re-versioning existing campaigns to ensure that new elements match provided footage and seamlessly compositing together in accordance with creative direction
  • Export and deliver appropriate files to provided specifications
  • Track and organize graphics software, stock assets, plugins, assets, style-guides, and naming conventions in compliance with Tubi standards and practices and develop new ways of working, on an as needed basis 
  • Apply expert understanding of the post-production process and how graphics and editorial come together to create high-impact content 
  • Demonstrate an expert design POV with an eye for color, composition, and typography
  • Develop systems for creating top-notch work within a short timeline
  • Champion design innovation, test and learn, and apply new design practices
  • Excellent creative instincts that ladder up to creative strategy and goals outlined at the time of project kick off
  • Act as a design and motion liaison between Tubi and key creative vendors we work with (agencies and freelancers)
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with key stakeholders, including Creative Director, Project Managers, internal Designers, and Editors to maintain best practices and meet project deadlines
  • Manage a broad variety of projects simultaneously

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience designing motion graphics for Entertainment properties at an agency, studio, or in-house network 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (primarily After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, including related plugins.)
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D software such as CInema 4D, Maya, or the equivalent
  • Expert technical knowledge of post-production process, file formats, and delivery specs for Digital, Social, Theatrical, and Broadcast platforms
  • Exceptional design, layout, and typography skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
  • Able to effectively communicate creative ideas within a collaborative environment
  • Highly organized workflow to ensure seamless project exchange between colleagues
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines with an understanding of how to prioritize your to-do’s and time manage your day-to-day in order to meet milestones and deadlines
  • High level of initiative and flexibility
  • Exceptional knowledge of design best practices and the ability to apply that thinking to your own projects
  • Ability to work separately or as part of a creative team to create exceptional artwork depending on project needs.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • You’re a team player and a solutions oriented thinker 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, or related field 
  • Passionate fan of Movies & TV

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.

California, New York City, Westchester County, NY, and Seattle, WA Compensation

$93,000 to $133,000 / year + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits

Colorado and Washington (excluding Seattle, WA) Compensation

$85,000 to $121,000 / year + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits
