General Manager - Specialty Pharmacy and Ambulatory Infusion

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee the program operations, growth, and ongoing success for our first partner health system in the Philadelphia market. This position will assist in implementation of a Specialty Pharmacy and Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) and be responsible for overseeing ongoing operations. The General Manager partners with health system leadership and providers to identify, design, and implement strategies to drive program growth and success. In collaboration with corporate clinical leadership and through management of all onsite Tulea Health personnel, this individual ensures all programs and services meet quality, safety, and accreditation standards. You will be responsible for achieving high levels of patient, provider, and customer satisfaction through the provision of compassionate, extraordinary care and service.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Hiring, developing, and managing the on-site team of clinicians and support personnel.
- Designing and implementing staffing models to support the required volume, service, and quality of care.
- Implementing inventory management, dispensing, and infusion workflows necessary to support safe, high-quality care, while maintaining inventory integrity and security.
- Overseeing daily operations of all departments across the the specialty pharmacy and AIC(s).
- Developing goals, strategies, and objectives necessary to achieve program growth and ongoing success.
- Participating in the development of the annual operating budget, monitoring ongoing performance, and ensuring achievement of revenue and expense goals.
- Monitoring key performance indicators and implementing strategies to improve performance.
- Fostering a culture of safety, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
- Maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with health system providers and stakeholders.
- Driving ongoing program governance model including quarterly business reviews with key customers and internal Tulea Health stakeholders.
- Ensuring care and services are delivered in compliance with applicable laws, rules, requirements, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures.
- Supporting quarterly Quality Management Committee meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring to the table:
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) establishing and managing specialty pharmacy services; ambulatory infusion experience also preferred.
- At least a bachelor's degree or higher in health care or a business-related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop team members, while fostering a collaborative, supportive culture.
- Exceptional critical thinking required to proactively identify, assess, and overcome business challenges.
- Strong business acumen required to achieve program growth and financial goals.
- Entrepreneurial approach to program growth, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to multi-task and organize workload for efficient use of time.
- Strong communication skills, including active listening, speaking, and effective writing.
You'll stand out if you also have the following:
- PharmD, RN, or related clinical degree.
- MBA or other advanced business or finance degree.
- Experience with various infusion platforms (e.g., WeInfuse, Infuse Flow) and electronic health records (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena).
- Customer management experience.
- Business development experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with health system infusion and specialty pharmacy operations.
