Vice President, Finance

ROLE SUMMARY
As a key leader at Tulea Health, the Vice President, Finance will work directly with the CEO and other company leaders to build, grow and mature the financial strategy and infrastructure required to support the evolution of the business. This leader will build financial systems, drive forecasting and performance management, and ensure compliance while providing insights that inform executive decision-making. A key partner to other functional leaders, the VP, Finance will establish the foundation, processes, and technology infrastructure required to drive both day-to-day financial activity as well as strategic financial management and growth for the company. The role is both strategic and hands-on, and it is ideal for someone who is excited about building and managing the foundation for a rapidly growing business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and lead long-term financial strategy aligned with company goals including business model management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other business leaders to support strategic planning, functional planning, and business continuity. Drive decision-making through clear, actionable financial insights.
- Engage with investors and board members along with other business leaders to support overall company management and governance.
- Evolve integrated site-level financial management to ensure accountability to customer financial targets. Support customer operations leadership to plan effectively for growth, hiring, and new initiatives. Partner with leadership to evaluate and monitor ongoing investments and new programs.
- Oversee accounting functions, cash flow management, and financial reporting including management of all external relationships related to the finance function.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly close and reporting processes.
- Implement scalable financial systems and controls including healthcare regulatory compliance, auditing, and risk management programs.
- Establish an appropriately-sized team to support the execution of our strategy and day-to-day operations.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU…
- Have experience driving the finance function, and particularly key finance and accounting processes and systems, in a healthcare start-up or high growth company. Experience in the healthcare provider and/or health system services field is a plus.
- Can demonstrate how you have supported market-leading performance for a healthcare technology or services company through financial modeling, forecasting, and cashflow management along with a high degree of integrity, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Relish the opportunity to build and grow a foundational financial framework that aligns with market dynamics and the growth expectations for the company.
- Have experience supporting current and potential investors and company leadership during fundraising cycles to provide transparent, effective financial insights.
- Have a track record of leading, developing, coaching and retaining highly productive finance and accounting team members and/or managing relationships with external service providers who work collaboratively and cross functionally with internal stakeholders.
- Possess the domain expertise to evolve a robust and flexible technology platform to support the company’s financial requirements. Experience adapting market-leading technologies to a healthcare technology-enabled service company is a significant advantage.
- Emphasize and understand continuous improvement methodologies and techniques.
- Understand and bring knowledge and experience of how to affect change in a cross-functional work environment where collaboration with other leaders and teams is an essential part of your ongoing success.

REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in a relevant role.
- Ability to work in a hybrid capacity for a Pittsburgh, PA based office (must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, a reasonable commuting distance to the office).
