Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and drive financial efficiency. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounting operations team while working closely with senior management to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the global accounting operations, including GL, Revenue Operations, AP and AR.
- Lead the month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Streamline and improve close timelines and processes.
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
- Optimize accounting systems and financial processes for efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including HR, FP&A, Sales, etc.
- Lead and develop the accounting team; provide training and support to enhance skills and performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- Proven experience as a Director of Accounting or in a senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in corporate accounting, financial planning, or audit.
- Background in both public accounting and private industry preferred.
- Knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX compliance (if applicable).
