Summary: Turing is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Payment Specialist to join our Finance team. This role involves managing the contractor payout operations across global jurisdictions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payments. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is passionate about improving financial operations, and possesses strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the contractor payment lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentation
  • Manage monthly and off-cycle payout processes
  • Validate and reconcile payment inputs across systems and teams
  • Respond to payment-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and external contractors
  • Ensure global compliance with tax, employment, and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Prepare audit documentation and maintain controls for payout-related processes
  • Partner with Finance, People, and Legal teams to improve data flow and automation between platforms
  • Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvement initiatives
  • Maintain up-to-date best practices and documentation of payout processes
  • Collaborate with Finance and People teams to ensure smooth payment execution
  • Partner with the Revenue Accounting team on month-end close activities related to contractor expenses

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years in finance operations, payroll, or payment processing roles
  • Familiarity with platforms like Deel, HiBob, Jibble, etc.
  • Understanding of global compliance for contractor payouts
  • Proficient in Excel & Google Sheets
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders in other departments
  • Detail-oriented with high data accuracy
  • Proficient use of AI agents to enhance workload efficiency
  • Proactive problem-solver
  • Strong communicator and organizer
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Navigates ambiguity and builds new processes confidently
