Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Develop and execute resource management strategies aligned with the company’s business goals and delivery plans.
- Forecast short-term and long-term resource requirements based on business pipeline and delivery demands.
- Collaborate with sales, delivery, talent acquisition, and HR teams to ensure proactive workforce planning.
Demand and Supply Management
- Monitor project demands and ensure timely fulfillment through internal redeployment, lateral hiring, or subcontracting.
- Own the resource allocation process across projects to ensure optimal utilization and skill alignment.
- Maintain a real-time view of supply-demand gaps and take corrective actions to address resource shortfalls or surpluses.
Bench and Utilization Management
- Minimize bench time and maximize billable resource utilization across accounts and geographies.
- Manage the bench pool effectively by enabling upskilling, quick redeployment, and internal opportunities.
- Define and track KPIs related to bench strength, utilization rates, and fulfillment lead time.
Skill Inventory and Capacity Planning
- Build and maintain a centralized skill inventory and ensure it is regularly updated with employee skillsets and aspirations.
- Drive workforce capacity planning to meet future technology and domain skill requirements.
Governance and Reporting
- Establish strong governance mechanisms with internal stakeholders for proactive communication and issue resolution.
- Provide executive-level dashboards and analytics on resource availability, fulfillment status, utilization, and hiring pipeline.
- Lead quarterly and monthly business reviews on RMG performance with CXOs and business leaders.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the central point of coordination between delivery, recruitment, learning & development (L&D), and finance teams.
- Partner with talent acquisition for timely sourcing and with L&D for targeted upskilling/reskilling programs.
- Engage with senior leadership to understand evolving business needs and align workforce capabilities accordingly.
Process Excellence & Automation
- Continuously improve RMG processes through best practices, standardization, and automation tools.
- Implement resource management systems (RMS) or ERP platforms to improve visibility, accuracy, and decision-making.
Compliance and Cost Optimization
- Ensure compliance with location, visa, and employment policies during resource deployment.
- Balance cost, location strategy, and skill fit while fulfilling demand.
- Optimize subcontractor usage based on cost, quality, and timeline constraints.
