Senior AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join the team and work on our next AAA title! You will be working with the design team and authoring AI behaviors for in-game characters, as well as supporting the animation systems.  The ideal candidate is one who is a great team player and is excited to push the limits on what it takes to make a great game!

Responsibilities

  • Author AI behaviors for in-game characters
  • Extend and support animation systems for creating AAA quality AI
  • Work with design team to create playable spaces conducive to AI interaction
  • Revise and tune characters based on design goals and playtest feedback
  • Profile and optimize code to meet memory and CPU budgets
  • Proactively diagnose and fix bugs in AI and animation systems

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of different aspects of game AI (navigation, behavior, etc)
  • Knowledge of modern animation systems and techniques
  • Comfortable working in an iteration driven environment and with minimal oversight
  • 5+ years of professional game programming experience
  • Shipped at least one complete title
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Solid math skills

Preferences

  • Strong AI, animation, physics, or network experience is a big plus
  • Experience with UE4 or UE5 animation systems
  • Previous work on Multiplayer Action Games and FPS's is desirable
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

The estimated base pay range for this role is: $136,000 - $170,000
