Staff Product Manager, Activation

tvScientific seeks a Staff Product Manager to join our Activation team. This position is pivotal in scaling access to Streaming Advertising across Connected TV and other formats. The individual will assume ownership of their roadmap, guiding development from conception to launch in collaboration with Engineering and partners. This role's output will directly enhance campaign performance, optimization, and creative functionalities.

 

This is a highly cross-functional role demanding both technical acumen and robust product leadership. The Staff Product Manager will collaborate with Engineering and partner teams to construct scalable, reliable, and supportable technology that yields significant business value. Key responsibilities include defining core metrics, authoring precise product specifications, and ensuring internal teams are equipped to articulate the value proposition of CTV across our platform and to the broader market.

What you'll do:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for a significant portion of our Activation suite, establishing the vision both internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams, specifically those focused on campaign management and creative development, to architect and deliver a market-leading suite of capabilities.
  • Develop services designed for operational efficiency and scale by considering the entire advertiser and campaign lifecycle.
  • Partner with Legal, Security, and Data teams to ensure adherence to CCPA, GDPR, and global privacy regulations.
  • Document detailed product requirements, data specifications, and user stories to guide Engineering and Infrastructure teams on high-impact features that align with the tvScientific strategy.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators such as feature adoption and revenue influenced to inform feature development, refinement, and new initiatives.
  • Core Responsibilities & Product Development Leadership:
    • Product Portfolio Growth and Scalability: Be the driving force behind the execution and continuous enhancement of a multi-faceted, revenue-generating product portfolio. This includes identifying strategic opportunities for innovation, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization through launch, and ensuring the technical architecture is scalable, resilient, and capable of supporting exponential growth in user adoption and transaction volume. A key focus will be on delivering enhancements that directly increase advertiser value and optimize the yield for both tvScientific and Pinterest platforms.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partnership:
    • High-Impact Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain a gold-standard of collaboration and partnership with critical internal and external stakeholders. This requires building strong, trusting relationships with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Sales, and Marketing teams at both tvScientific and Pinterest.
  • Seamless Integration and Alignment:
    • Act as the central liaison, ensuring complete alignment on product roadmaps, technical specifications, and delivery timelines between the two companies. This involves proactively communicating risks, sharing progress transparently, and facilitating joint problem-solving sessions to navigate complex technical and business challenges. The goal is to create a seamless, cohesive working environment that maximizes the value derived from the partnership.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of ten years' experience in digital advertising product management.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with both internal and external technical Engineering teams to develop and deploy public services infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in activation workflows, schemas, and architecture within large-scale advertising platforms.
  • Possesses a robust analytical mindset and proficiency in working with substantial datasets.
  • Technical acumen spanning APIs, data pipelines, and software applications.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into tangible business value.
  • A strong foundational understanding of ad technology, with preference given to candidates possessing Connected TV experience.
  • You may also have:
    • Demonstrated expertise in programmatic advertising and digital media procurement.
    • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations within the advertising technology sector.
    • Attainment of certification or specialized training in Agile or Scrum frameworks.
    • Prior experience engaging with industry collaborators and cultivating strategic partnerships.
    • Fluency in supplementary languages pertinent to the advertising technology marketplace.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience
