About the job
This position is needed to manage the legal integration aspects of Twilio’s M&A and coordinate cross-functionally on all aspects of legal integration, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and business objectives.
We’re seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented M&A Legal Integration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. As a key contributor, you'll play a critical role in supporting the legal integration aspects of Twilio’s M&A, ensuring seamless integration across our global operations.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Integration Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the integration of acquired companies, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Project Management: Coordinate, manage and document legal integration projects, including: creating and maintaining legal integration dashboards, project plans, presentation materials, status documentation, and integration planning reports in close coordination with the M&A legal, CorpDev and integration management office (IMO) teams.
- Due Diligence: Support legal teams in conducting due diligence by collecting, reviewing, and summarizing information necessary for evaluating potential acquisitions.
- Communication: Prepare reports and presentations regarding M&A activities and integration progress.
- Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all M&A transactions and legal integration steps and track legal integration milestones.
- Risk Management: In coordination with internal and external counsel, identify, escalate, and mitigate legal risks and issues arising from the integration process and within existing agreements (customer, vendor, partner, contractor, etc.), and support other legal counsel to provide strategic advice to minimize exposure and protect the company's interests.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external counsel and vendors as needed.
- Constantly Improve: Run retrospective analyses to improve documentation and processes. Understand and recognize areas of friction, identify operational concerns and subject matter issues, and engage with legal and cross-functional managers to implement practical solutions.

Required:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant legal M&A integration experience managing complex projects, preferably at a leading technology company
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Effectively identify and articulate implications up and downstream, taking action or escalating as appropriate.
- Demonstrate an ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize workflow with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills with an ability to coordinate effectively with legal, technical, GTM, and CorpDev and integration teams.
- Your team-first attitude enables you to easily and effectively work across teams and cross-functionally.
- Work well under time pressure and tight deadlines and strong results orientation and customer focus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT), GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Project Management software (Jira, Asana, AirTable (or similar), RAID logs, budgeting systems).
- International M&A experience is a plus.
Desired:
- Experience working in a legal department or at a law firm, preferably in M&A.
- Paralegal or similar project management certification.
Location
This role will be remote, and based in Canada.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in British Columbia. : CAD 97,700.00 - CAD 122,100.00
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
