About the job
The Program Manager, Legal & Compliance Learning & Development is a member of the Legal Operations team and will be responsible for managing the design and deployment of global compliance and learning & development training. This role will be responsible for program managing learning initiatives end-to-end, from needs analysis through design, launch, communication, tracking, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Identify, analyze, and strategically align training needs with business goals and legal requirements by collaborating with Ethics & Compliance, People, Privacy, and other legal and business leaders.
- Develop a training matrix and curriculum on a "blended learning" approach, which could include e-learning, virtual, live, written material and recordings.
- Design, update, evaluate and implement compliance and privacy training from new hire to advanced training programs through LMS platforms.
- Track completion rates and other metrics and feedback, communicate with stakeholders and provide updates to management.
- Select and manage vendors, technologies and technical personnel required to develop, deploy and track training.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and maintain proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Contribute to a culture of compliance, helping employees not only meet obligations but understand the "why" behind our policies and training requirements through campaigns and individualized communications.
- Drive initiatives that promote continuous learning and encourage experimentation across teams.

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 4+ years of experience in program management, instructional design, and corporate learning, ideally in Legal, Compliance, Risk, or Ethics-focused environments.
- A demonstrated track record of training program development, optimization, and management.
- Experience working with learning management systems and platforms.
- Experience in the tech industry - experience at API and data companies is a plus.
- Ability to create high quality, engaging content.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with both individual contributors and senior leaders.
Desired:
- Ability to communicate concisely and persuasively in writing as well as the ability to draft clear and effective reports, policies, etc.
- Experience developing compliance or ethics training for a global audience.
- Ability to translate complex legal or policy content into clear, engaging learning experiences.
- Self-starter with a focus on results and problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a matrixed organization, across cultures and functions with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, change and to pivot when necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay focused on goals, and solve problems effectively.
- Interest in emerging learning technologies and methods, including generative AI, to enhance training effectiveness and engagement.
- Knowledge of Articulate 360 and Airtable.
Location
This role will be remote, and based in Canada.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in British Columbia. : $107,300 - $134,100
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
