About the job
This position is needed to be Twilio’s boots-on-the-ground in the developer ecosystem—meeting builders where they are, learning what they’re excited about, and sharing it back with internal stakeholders. You’ll build trust, spark ideas, and create a sense of connection across platforms and events.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Engage directly with developers across platforms like Discord, Reddit, and Stack Overflow
- Listen deeply and represent the community. You can log patterns, share stories, and amplify builders’ work
- Prototype tools, demos, or walkthroughs that reflect real developer needs
- Organize and attend virtual events to deepen relationships and represent Twilio
- Develop content that promotes engagement with developers, solving their problems, and using the product.
- Competitive analysis to assess how we can always lead the industry with powerful, engaged, thoughtful, and surprising advocacy and engagement.
Qualifications
Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!
Required:
- You’re a developer who thrives in social spaces—at a hackathon, in a forum, or helping someone debug on Discord
- Facilitating complex and sensitive community management situations with humility, judgment, tact, and humor.
- You build side projects for fun, and you’re always curious what others are building
- You’re a kind, approachable presence who helps others feel heard
- You’re comfortable with public speaking, blogging, and content development.
- You believe community is built by showing up and staying curious, not just by broadcasting content
- Working independently and autonomously, managing multiple competing priorities.
Desired:
- 1-2 years of experience running community programs within a software or Internet-based company.
- Existing network from a diverse set of communities and social media platforms.
- Media training and experience in communicating with journalists, bloggers, and other media on a range of technical topics.
Location
This role will be remote, and based in Ireland or the UK
