UX Research & Product Operations Specialist

Department: Product
Reports To: Chief Product Officer
Location: Hybrid/Remote (Austin, TX, US)

About This Role

Togetherwork is seeking a highly analytical, operationally rigorous UX Research & Product Operations Specialist to elevate how we understand users, measure product health, and operate our product systems at scale. This role is a critical individual contributor within Product & Strategy, partnering closely with Product Leaders, Engineering, Data, CX, Revenue, and Operations to ensure decisions are grounded in high-quality user insight, disciplined analytics, and well-governed tooling.

You will own Togetherwork’s core product research and operations infrastructure—including Pendo, product analytics dashboards, intake and backlog systems, and ideas management—while developing repeatable research frameworks that translate customer behavior into actionable recommendations.

This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer and operates at a high-leverage intersection of user insight, product analytics, and operational excellence. It requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to influence leaders through clear, data-backed insights.

This is an excellent opportunity for a research- and systems-minded product professional who thrives in complexity, values rigor, and wants to materially improve how a $250M SaaS portfolio understands and serves its users.

What You’ll Do

UX Research & Insight Development

  • Lead qualitative and quantitative UX research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and friction.

  • Establish repeatable research frameworks, standards, and insight repositories.

  • Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Product and Engineering.

  • Integrate customer signals into discovery processes, user journey mapping, and opportunity sizing.

  • Ensure user insight is consistently reflected in roadmap and prioritization discussions.

Product Operations, Tooling Governance & Systems Hygiene

  • Serve as system owner for Pendo, monday.com, Ideas Bank tooling, Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Sigma, and Power BI.

  • Define and enforce governance standards, including taxonomy, tagging frameworks, naming conventions, and workflow hygiene.

  • Maintain and improve integrations supporting intake, backlog management, roadmap visibility, delivery tracking, and reporting.

  • Drive lifecycle management of product ideas, feedback, and customer requests from intake through resolution.

  • Improve cross-team efficiency through automation, consistency, and operational discipline.

Product Analytics, Dashboards & Metrics

  • Build and maintain product health scorecards and executive-ready dashboards.

  • Translate usage patterns and behavioral signals into insights that inform roadmap decisions.

  • Provide leaders with metrics for adoption, engagement, friction, and feature performance.

  • Partner with Data and Engineering to ensure accurate event instrumentation and data integrity.

  • Establish consistent definitions and standards for product metrics across teams.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Enablement

  • Act as connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Support, CX, Revenue, and Operations.

  • Support Product Managers with research planning, backlog structure, and hypothesis validation.

  • Define best practices and coach teams on data literacy, research rigor, and insight generation.

  • Model professionalism, collaboration, and positive intent in all interactions.

AI Fluency & Innovation

  • Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, tagging, analysis, and workflow automation.

  • Demonstrate measurable impact from AI-enabled efficiencies or insight depth.

  • Champion modern research, analytics, and operational methodologies across Product.

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • 4–7+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Operations, Product Analytics, or a hybrid role.

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Pendo, monday.com, Jira, Confluence, Aha!, Sigma, and Power BI.

  • Experience operating in complex, multi-product or scaled SaaS environments.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research capabilities.

  • Proven ability to build dashboards and define product health metrics.

  • Experience creating, enforcing, and maintaining governance and workflow standards.

  • Highly polished written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to translate complex data into executive-ready insights and recommendations.

Mindset

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and operationally disciplined.

  • Customer-centered with strong curiosity and learning orientation.

  • Collaborative, coachable, and comfortable operating independently.

  • Demonstrated use of AI to improve efficiency, insight quality, or execution.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
