Staff Events Marketing Manager

  We are looking for a Sr. Regional Marketing and Events Specialist for our AMER region to be responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and optimizing all regional marketing activities across various channels to achieve pipeline goals. The primary goals of this position are to increase awareness and drive demand for Twist products and solutions within the AMER Region. In pursuit of this goal, this person will be responsible for leading and managing demand generation and customer engagement efforts, including events and digital marketing, across multiple marketing channels and acting as a key liaison to sales, as well as partnering closely with Global Marketing counterparts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of technical expertise in molecular biology and life science tools, along with professional and/or educational experience in Synthetic Biology, NGS and Biopharma development. Candidates should also have experience in a tactical or events marketing role and demonstrate experience working cross-functionally in a matrix organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Sr. Regional Marketing and Events Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all regional events, including seminars, trade shows, webinars, networking events, and internal meetings, including planning, prepping, and follow-through in relation to event activities
  • Manages all aspects of tradeshow participation, including registration, booth selection and design, vendor management (e.g., freight, A/V, catering), collateral ordering, and scheduling.
  • Execute comprehensive post-event activities including lead upload and CRM management, sales follow-through coordination with leads, and detailed post-event reporting on performance metrics and outcomes
  • Drive event marketing initiatives including building email campaigns in Marketo, maximizing opportunities for booth activations and engagement, and developing creative event experiences while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in execution
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and distribution of event giveaways and branded inventory
  • Tracks and manage event budgets meticulously, ensuring all expenses are within allocated limits, achieving optimal ROI while identifying areas for continual improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local sales teams, channel partners, and technology alliance partners.
  • Coordinate with the AMER regional marketing manager to align on regional priorities, set quarterly goals, gain commitment and support for marketing programs, and identify areas of pipeline opportunity and risk.
  • Provide proactive communication and presentations to sales and marketing executives and stakeholders.’

 What You’ll Bring to the Team

Sr. Regional Marketing and Events Specialist Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in an Events Management role at a B2B company
  • Availability to travel at least 30% of the time
  • 5+ years previous experience in marketing management or program management administration 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing events in the life science industry
  • Experience with Captello lead capture software
  • MBA
  • MS/PhD

The base cash compensation for this California-based role is below. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for bonus, equity, and a generous benefits package. Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate skill, experience, expertise, and location and may vary from the amount listed above. Compensation may be different in other locations.

$135,000 - $180,000 USD
