Art Direction Intern (Dec 2025/May 2026)

San Francisco, CA

About Twitch

Twitch is the world's biggest live streaming service, with global communities built around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. It's where millions of people come together to chat, interact, and make their own entertainment.

We're about community, inside and out. You'll find coworkers who are eager to team up, collaborate, and smash (or elegantly solve) problems together. We're on a quest to empower live communities, so if this sounds good to you, see what we're up to on LinkedIn and Twitter, get interviewing tips on Instagram, and discover projects we're solving on our Blog.

About the Team

The Twitch community is like no other - a passionate and engaged group of creators and active participants who are uniquely invested in what we’re all building together. The Marketing & Communications team at Twitch serves to authentically activate the Twitch community (and beyond) in ways that inform and inspire. Members of our team work across a range of areas including internal and external communications, content & partnerships, creative services, and marketing strategy.

About the Role

We're Twitch's in-house creative team, and we're looking for an Art Direction Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience for aspiring Art Directors

You’ll contribute to developing and creating campaigns of all shapes and sizes. On any given day you might be concepting, sourcing clips, designing emotes, or coming up with social content. You’ll make fun, weird, and wonderful things our streamers and community will love. And you’ll help us uphold our beloved, one-of-a-kind, rapidly growing Twitch brand.

The ideal candidate loves coming up with creative ideas and bringing them to come to life. You have a design or art background. You are a problem solver. You love to make creative, innovative, entertaining content or art of your own. You know everything that’s happening on Tik Tok, Twitch, Discord, and all the other places everyone else hasn’t even heard of yet. You’re a gamer (bonus points if you’ve beaten Elden Ring). You love to experiment with new techniques, tools, and formats to express your creativity in fresh, unexpected ways.

See below for just a few reasons why our cohort-based internship program is one-of-a kind.

  • Project-Based Learning at Scale: As an intern on the Creative Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, marketing and brand campaigns, community initiatives, product launches and updates, and events like Twitchcon.  You will also be working directly with our team leads, gaining hands-on learning experience and mentorship. You will be integrated into our project teams and work side-by-side with the rest of the team, getting a complete crash course on how in-house Creative teams function.
  • Comprehensive Support Team: To ensure our interns thrive, we provide a dedicated support system, including a Manager, Mentor, and Early Careers Advisor. This team will work closely with you to guide your project from start to finish and ensure you have the resources needed to succeed.
  • Enriched Intern Community: In addition to hands-on Creative work, you will participate in leadership and interpersonal development curriculum, as well as gain valuable industry insights from Twitch leaders through fireside chats. We offer a variety of enrichment activities, including cohort trips, weekly advisory sessions, and local community events. We also provide housing assistance to make your summer internship as rewarding and enjoyable as possible.

You Will

  • Help come up with creative concepts and ideas for campaigns and assets that will live on Twitch and off as part of marketing and brand initiatives.
  • Support and participate in the creative production process, including preproduction prep, video and motion production, social content creation, still assets, and livestreaming formats
  • Create and design campaign elements and creative assets

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
