Two Six Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Lead Engineer and Team Lead of Quality Assurance to oversee our team of manual and automation testers responsible for ensuring the quality of multiple operational platforms that deliver situational awareness and command and control to our government partners. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining our quality assurance strategies, processes, and methodologies, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering world-class software that meets the highest standards of quality.

This is a hybrid position, working three days a week out of our Arlington, VA office. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a growing QA team across multiple functional areas (manual testing, automation, performance, etc.)
  • Cultivate a culture of quality across the organization, aligning QA objectives with project goals
  • Define and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices across all stages of the software development lifecycle
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and issues, write software defect reports and feature requests, and work to drive systemic improvements
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, operations) to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing methodologies, frameworks, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work closely with the product management and development teams to ensure that features are designed with quality and testability in mind
  • Act as a key point of contact for quality-related matters in the organization, representing the voice of quality in leadership meetings
  • Perform software product testing and investigate possible causes of problems
  • Develop functional, end-to-end, regression, and performance tests in manual test environments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance or software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing QA teams
  • Deep understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and industry best practices
  • Expertise in test automation strategies and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and present to executive leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about software quality and process improvements

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience using Git, Jenkins, and various Continuous Integration tools
  • Experience with JIRA, XRAY, and other ticketing tools
  • Experience with ELK, Kibana, and other metrics services
  • Experience with Docker, Selenium Grid, and other containerized services
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment
  • Experience working with the Military

 

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary Range

$120,000 - $203,000 USD
