What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join the Design team at Typeface! You’ll drive end-to-end experiences that help enterprise marketers easily turn ideas into fully personalized campaigns — fast, intuitive, and on-brand. This is your chance to shape how marketers work alongside AI — not just through interfaces, but through systems that multiply creativity and impact. 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Work in between the design team and the front-end team to craft new high-quality user experiences. You’ll help bridge some of the gaps between what the design team envisions and what gets shipped into our product with a strong focused on the details to make our user experience A+ and delight our customers. 
  • Help validate or discard hypotheses by testing new designs and concepts with high-fidelity prototypes 
  • Help set up and maintain our design system working with our design and front-end team. 
  • Present work to peers, product teams and executive leadership/stakeholder 
  • Conceive, prototype, and iterate on new high-quality user experiences. 
  • Quickly bring new ideas to life through functional UI’s and prototypes. 
  • Help drive the design process with engineering teams to ship these new products to users.  

 What You Bring

  • You’re passionate about your craft and sweat the details until what you ship is A+, delighting our customers 
  • You’re self-reliant and can independently drive a project working closely with your XFN partners 
  • You’re adaptable and able to comfortably context-switch between multiple projects 
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of some design principles and on how to build experiences that span mobile and desktop browsers and native platforms 
  • BS/BA in a technical field such as CS or equivalent years of experience  
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience (HTML/CSS, Javascript and all the recent technologies) shipping software products 
  • 3+ years of experience shipping software products 
  • Experience in developing and designing high-quality user experiences for responsive web products 
  • Experience in full lifecycle of design and development 
  • Experience with front-end technologies and prototyping tools, including Figma, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, React Native, NodeJS) 
  • A solid portfolio of things you’ve designed and/or built across a range of platforms, including native and web-based applications 
  • Bonus: Prior experience working in a start-up environment 
  • Bonus: Prior experience working in the Gen AI space 

Location 

This is a hybrid role based in our Palo Alto HQ. We collaborate in-office 3 days a week. 

Base Salary

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$225,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process.
