We are seeking a Regional Director of Operations who will be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the operations of multiple dental practices affiliated with Premier Dentist Partners in the Mid-Atlantic.
The Regional Director of Operations will focus on executing numerous operational tasks in each of their dental practices with the goal of enhancing practice level efficiencies and growth over time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Approve and monitor office and staff hours daily and weekly to ensure proper staffing recommendations are made at the practice level and staff costs are controlled to budgets
- Provide oversite and support to practice level managers/operations coordinators and doctors as needed
- Gather and analyze reports needed by support office including but not limited to weekly AR reports, month end reports, ledger level auditing and allocation audits and corrections
- Monitor the P&L statements for each supported practice and develop effective ways to close the gaps between actual performance and company projections
- Directly support dentists in their growth and development, helping them set goals and address operational opportunities within their supported office
- Motivate team members, resolve conflicts and make difficult decisions
- Maintain regular communication with dental office staff and affiliated doctors to review practice trends and performance
- Analysis of expense reports for region and facilitating move to preferred vendors while preserving relationships
- Assist in onboarding and integration work for newly affiliated dental practices implementation of operational processes per Premier Dentist Partners “best practice” guidelines and philosophy.
- Answer employee requests and questions and help resolve operational-related problems
- Represent the Premier Dentist Partners brand and facilitate and support doctor and team alignment with Premier Dentist Partners
- Advise and train practice operations coordinator/team on organizational/operational policies and recommend needed changes
Requirements:
- 3+ years in an operational role coupled with experience in a multi-location (customer service experience) focused operation. Experience in a multi-location health care support business is preferred. Experience in the dental industry, human medical industry or other physician focused multi-site industry will be viewed favorably
- Previous P&L responsibility and experience with budget management, personnel management, and team building
- Willing to spend time in the field (traveling out of state if needed) visiting affiliated dental practices and work side by side with practice team members
- Have a deep knowledge of how a practice runs
- Experience with practice management systems like Dentrix, Ascend, and others
- Active listening skills and ability to implement processes effectively
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to work collaboratively with practice team members and operations team
- Education: College graduate with an advanced degree preferred
- Travel: Able to travel up to 70% of the time
- Local to or willing to relocate to the Mid-Atlantic region
