Healthcare Reporting and Data Analyst

Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

Are you someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear, actionable insights? UASI is looking for a Healthcare Data and Reporting Analyst to support our service line leaders, management teams, and consultants through data analysis, reporting, and visualization. In this role, you’ll work with data from multiple sources to identify trends, build reports and dashboards, support client deliverables, and help our teams make informed business decisions.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and naturally curious, someone who enjoys digging into data, identifying patterns and trends, spotting anomalies, and translating the numbers into meaningful insights. This role is less about building technical data infrastructure and more about understanding what the data is telling us and using it to support business and client decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize Excel or other data collection sources to extract, clean, and join data subsets for in-depth analysis along with presentation of PivotTables and Pivot Charts for client reporting.
  • Extract data from multiple data sources for the use of identifying trends, analysis, and department impacts.
  • Create healthcare data visualization using graphs, charts, and tables to illustrate findings for use during client engagements.
  • Build and maintain recurring reports and dashboards (e.g., productivity, quality, turnaround time, denial trends)
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions from leadership and operational teams
  • Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support monthly/quarterly business reviews with data summaries and visualizations
  • Document data definitions, report logic, and process workflows for consistency and repeatability
  • Collaborate with IT/data engineering teams on data access, integrity, and other issues
  • Assist with tracking program metrics (e.g., recruiting initiatives, incentive programs, service-line performance)
  • Perform data validation checks on Code IQ to ensure there is no missing data, report outputs are consistent, all reports are generated appropriately, etc.
  • Support development of Code IQ revision for industry best practice data analytics and reporting capacity.
  • Assist with uploading and downloading project data via SFT utilizing the UASI protocols and ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare Excel files for Tech Support to set up automated upload of cases to CodeIQ.
  • Assist with special projects as required

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role; healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Experience manipulating, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with PivotTables, PivotCharts, formulas, and large datasets.
  • Ability to translate data into clear reports, visualizations, and actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies or potential data-quality issues.
  • Ability to manage recurring reporting responsibilities while also responding to ad hoc requests and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across operational, technical, and leadership teams.
