About the Role

Responsible for building and nurturing long-term relationships with a select portfolio of high-value logistics and supply chain clients, acting as their main point of contact to ensure satisfaction, identify growth opportunities, and drive revenue. The role involves understanding client needs to provide tailored logistics solutions, coordinating with internal operations and customer service teams, monitoring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), and managing contracts and negotiations. Key responsibilities also include strategic account planning, conducting business reviews, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth service delivery. This role will work at our office in Rogers, Arkansas. 

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Establish and maintain effective trust-based relationships with customer contacts, including shippers and receivers, through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
  • Responsible for understanding current market trends to successfully offer pricing to customers’ requests for quotes, identify risks and opportunities, up- and cross-sell services, understand and develop customer-level plans around carrier rules tariff changes
  • Conduct market analysis, present proposals, and manage contract negotiations, including renewals and expansions
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to meet client objectives and achieve company growth targets
  • Manage account profitability, monitor financial reports, and assist with billing and collections
  • Notify Shipper and/or Receiver of shipment status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary
  • Optimize load bookings and carrier selection
  • Set-up New Locations (Shippers/Receivers); and/or Set-up new vendors
  • Correspond with internal teams (procurement, operations, customer service, finance) to ensure seamless and excellent service delivery, meeting client KPIs and SLAs
  • Maintain current customer rates, fuel surcharges, and accessorial schedules in the Transportation Management System
  • Manage shipment level interaction with client customer service and Uber Freight logistics support to handle day to day activities such as tracking, tracing and communications, resolve client issues and operational bottlenecks effectively and promptly
  • Responsible for confirming billing information is accurate and ready for invoicing
  • Ensure operational compliance for US and Foreign Regulatory Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in account management either directly in transportation/logistics, or of sufficient complexity and critical thinking
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation skills, and the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and to influence team results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong work ethic and drive to achieve results

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3 years of transportation logistics experience and 1 year of LTL management experience
  • A strong understanding of transportation and logistics industry trends, best practices, and supply chain dynamics
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, and EDI/API concepts. Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
