Sales Director, Transportation Management
About the Role
Uber Freight is a transportation management provider, offering a suite of transportation management and freight capacity services. We're looking for a Sales Director who is passionate about the prospect of working on something from the ground up! The candidate will be a natural at strategic selling, excited about the transportation and logistics industry, technology, and enjoys working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll use your skills in customer-facing communication, discovery, problem-solving, and driving internal processes to set our partnerships up for success. The Sales Director is required to develop a comprehensive understanding of all services within the Uber Freight portfolio! You will close and contract new business relationships, support those relationships through implementation to ensure we fully deliver against their expectations.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Prospect to build out a strong organic Pipeline
- Become authority on Uber Freight Transportation Management and Capacity Services offerings
- Drive top-line logo acquisition by expertly executing our mature and proven sales process methodology
- Work cross functionally to ensure alignment and success of new accounts
- Drive forward the future vision of Uber Freight with our product team and help
sell that vision to our customers - Engage with senior level team members of our Transportation Management
prospects - Solution and product selling to Global 2000 accounts
- Experience selling large, complex transportation or supply chain solutions to
- Identify, scope, pitch and close new business without significant support once your learning curve has been tackled
Basic Qualifications
- Supply chain/logistics experience
- 10+ years professional experience
- 5+ years of acquisition sales experience in a complex (numerous stakeholder) buying process
- Able to travel ~50% to meet with prospects and internal collaborators/support associates
- Direct experience with solution (complex) selling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience identifying, generating, and closing new business
- A hunter mentality; thrives on winning in a competitive environment
- Track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas
- Experience maximizing CRM to track and report on leads, sales, and customer
management activities. - Business acuity and presence required to build credible relationships with EVP
and C‐Suite level prospects. - Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills;
comfortable and credible with both internal team members and diverse external
audiences. - A flexible, dynamic, self‐demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate
him/herself and others.

Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more. US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.
For California-based roles: The salary range for this role is $160,860.00 - $231,480.00
For Illinois-based roles: The salary range for this role is $134,050.00 - $192,900.00
For Washington-based roles: The salary range for this role is $147,455.00 - $212,190.00
For New York-based roles: The salary range for this role is $147,455.00 - $212,190.00
For Colorado-based roles: The salary range for this role is $134,050.00 - $192,900.00
For Minnesota-based roles: The salary range for this role is $120,645.00 - $173,610.00
