(Onsite) Inventory Control Specialist II (Hybrid)
About the Role
Uber Freight is seeking an Inventory Specialist II to support our customer onsite operations by managing delivery changes, shipment updates, and inventory adjustments. This role follows a hybrid schedule (2 days working from home and 3 days in office) and partners closely with internal teams and external customers to resolve system issues, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain clear communication across the supply chain. The specialist will document activity in Salesforce and support SAP-based inventory processes in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
What You Will Do
- Manage delivery and shipment changes related to inventory discrepancies
- Communicate changes effectively with Contract Manufacturers, Warehouses, Seed Service Advisors (SSA), Bulk Carriers, and Logistics partners
- Support Bulk Crop Protection operations by following established processes for delivery changes and issuing customer credits when applicable
- Perform month-end inventory balancing and resolve discrepancies for shippers and bulk carriers
- Identify and resolve system errors in SAP, Salesforce, and WITS, escalating to Super Users as needed
- Coordinate seasonal returns with SSAs, Logistics, Contract Manufacturers, and Warehouses to ensure accurate product reconciliation or DOA approvals
- Document all relevant communication and actions through Salesforce cases
- Manage day-to-day shared inbox activity and provide coverage across sites as needed to ensure timely issue resolution
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of related experience in logistics, inventory, or customer support
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in transportation logistics with a strong commitment to customer service
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Flexible, goal-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities and expectations
