Logistics Specialist III -Transportation Management (Hybrid)

As a Logistics Specialist III, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring freight moves efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time across a dynamic transportation network.
This is a high-impact, fast-paced role where you’ll combine operational execution, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making to deliver exceptional service. You’ll have the opportunity to work with advanced tools, collaborate across teams, and directly influence performance outcomes.
This position follows a hybrid schedule based in Exton, PA (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), offering both collaboration and flexibility.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of shipments using our Transportation Management System (TMS), including load building, tendering, and execution
- Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance, consistently exceeding expectations
- Build and maintain strong carrier relationships to support service and capacity needs
- Negotiate rates and manage freight coverage through routing guides and spot market activity
- Optimize shipments by leveraging TMS to balance cost, service, and transit time across modes
- Monitor operations in real time, troubleshoot issues, and proactively prevent service failures
- Analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Serve as a key point of contact, providing clear and timely communication to stakeholders
- Identify patterns in carrier, shipper, and receiver performance and drive continuous improvement
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy within TMS
- Support onboarding and training for users, sharing best practices and workflow knowledge
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations
- 1+ year of experience working directly with carriers, shippers, or receivers
- Experience managing multiple shipments, loads, or accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
- 3+ years of experience in brokerage, 3PL, or logistics operations
- 1+ year of experience managing LTL and truckload freight
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar logistics platform
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
