About the Role:

The Ubiquiti Pilsen office is seeking a Senior Python Developer / Architect with proven development skills. Your primary focus will be on architecture, extensibility, and maintainability. You will work closely with QA, DevOps, and development teams to design and implement new capabilities, improve performance and reliability, and ensure the framework scales with our growing needs.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on engineer with deep Python expertise, experience with large-scale or long-lived projects, and a strong architectural mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a Python-based automated testing framework
  
  
• Lead the migration and feature parity from an existing testing framework to Python
  
  
• Architect scalable, extensible solutions that support current and future testing needs
  
  
• Implement and improve framework features used by QA and development teams
  
  
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
  
  
• Collaborate closely with QA, DevOps, and software engineers to align testing strategy
  
  
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure high quality and maintainability
  
  
• Continuously improve framework performance, stability, and developer experience
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Strong professional experience with Python in production environments
  
  
• Proven experience designing or maintaining large-scale or long-lived codebases
  
  
• Solid understanding of software architecture, modular design, and clean code principles
  
  
• Experience building or extending frameworks, libraries, or shared tooling
  
  
• Ability to analyze existing systems and design migration paths from legacy solutions
  
  
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and maintaining high code quality
  
  
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor other engineers
  
  
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment (QA, DevOps, Development)
  
  
• Proactive, self-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with test automation frameworks (custom or open-source)
  
  
• Background in QA automation, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps environments
  
  
• Experience migrating or refactoring legacy systems into modern architectures
  
  
• Knowledge of PHP or prior work with PHP-based testing frameworks
  
  
• Familiarity with networking, embedded systems, or hardware-related testing
  
  
  
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and test design principles
  
  
• Experience working in large or distributed codebases
