Responsibilities (What he/she will do after joining UI)
- Design and implement backend services for UniFi Drive, enabling fast, secure, and reliable data access and storage.
- Develop robust RESTful APIs for file operations, user access, and device integration.
- Ensure efficient data handling across distributed systems, with a focus on consistency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Integrate with hardware and firmware layers to optimize performance for file storage and retrieval.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability and performance.
Requirement (Must-Haves)
- 3+ years of experience in backend development using Golang in production environments.
- Proven experience with relational databases (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including schema design and optimization.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design, security, and versioning.
- Familiarity with file system concepts, data consistency, and caching strategies.
- Experience working with concurrent programming, network protocols, and system-level performance tuning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and debug complex systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AI development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and expertise in AI development techniques, such as Spec-Driven Development, are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience developing or maintaining NAS, file sharing, or cloud storage solutions.
- Knowledge of file system protocols such as NFS, SMB/CIFS, or WebDAV.
- Familiarity with object storage concepts and technologies (e.g., S3-compatible systems).
- Experience with data deduplication, replication, and backup strategies.
- Understanding of Unix/Linux systems, system calls, and performance profiling.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.
- Knowledge of RAID, disk health monitoring, and hardware-software integration challenges.
