Responsibilities (What he/she will do after joining UI)

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud-native services and infrastructure components to support Ubiquiti’s platforms and products.
  • Develop robust, scalable, and secure backend applications using Golang, following best practices in design and testing.
  • Leverage AWS services to build scalable and cost-efficient architectures.
  • Implement and maintain APIs, background jobs, data pipelines, and system-level integrations.
  • Work closely with frontend, mobile, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Monitor cloud systems for reliability, security, and performance, and continuously improve operational excellence.

 

Requirement (Must-Haves)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in backend or cloud development using Golang.
  • Strong experience deploying, maintaining, and scaling services on AWS infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in cloud security principles, IAM policies, and access controls.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, ECS, or EKS).
  • Good understanding of logging, monitoring, and metrics collection in a production environment.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AI development environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and expertise in AI development techniques, such as Spec-Driven Development, are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, Redis) and RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of event-driven systems and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, NATS, SNS/SQS).
  • Exposure to multi-region or multi-account AWS strategies and failover designs.
  • Experience with performance tuning, cost optimization, and high availability strategies.
  • Interest in developer productivity tooling, observability, and platform reliability.
