About the role:
We are looking for a versatile IT Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our local office network infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring peak network performance and stability, maintaining rigorous security standards, managing Linux systems, and delivering robust technical support using our own cutting-edge hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Manage network infrastructure, including switching, routing, and VLAN configurations, prioritizing maximum uptime and stability;
- Implement, monitor, and enforce IT security best practices across local networks, servers, and endpoints;
- Proactively monitor network and system performance, identifying bottlenecks and tuning configurations for optimal speed and reliability;
- Perform deep troubleshooting of network and system issues across all OSI layers;
- Provide comprehensive end-user support (macOS/Windows/Linux) and manage the secure hardware lifecycle;
- Deploy, support, and maintain UniFi products within the office infrastructure, including rack power and UPS management to ensure environmental stability;
- Provide support and maintenance for local server hosting environments;
- Assist in QA efforts by actively testing IT-related Ubiquiti products during operational downtime.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in IT administration, network engineering, or a similar role;
- Strong, hands-on networking expertise (Switching, VLANs, Routing, DHCP, DNS);
- Proven understanding of network security protocols, performance tuning, and system stability best practices;
- Practical Linux system administration experience and strong endpoint troubleshooting skills;
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production environments without compromising security or uptime;
- Fluent in English and Latvian;
- This is a fully on-site position.
