About the Role
As we continue to expand UniFi’s presence across Japan, we’re hiring an Account Executive. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing, disruptive technology company as we build out our local team.
Ubiquiti’s UniFi platform delivers a fully integrated ecosystem across networking, Wi-Fi, switching, surveillance, access control, NAS/SAN, VoIP, and more — all managed through a single interface with no recurring licensing fees.
In this role, you will own the full sales cycle and work closely with end customers and channel partners to expand UniFi adoption across Japan. You’ll help organizations modernize their IT and physical security infrastructure with a simple, powerful, and cost-effective platform.

Work Location: Remote based out of Japan (Tokyo preferred), with work travel for customer and partner engagement
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including outbound activity, demos, proposals, and negotiations
- Build and manage a strong pipeline across multiple industries (SMB, enterprise, education, hospitality, retail, and more)
- Drive adoption of the UniFi platform across networking, Wi-Fi, switching, surveillance, and access control
- Develop and grow relationships with distributors, system integrators, resellers, and MSP partners
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations showcasing UniFi’s unified management, performance, and cost advantages
- Work closely with technical teams to support solution design and successful deployments
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers modernizing infrastructure without recurring licensing costs
- Provide feedback from the Japan market to inform product development and regional strategy
- Travel as needed for customer meetings, partner engagement, and events
Desired Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role (B2B experience in Japan preferred)
- Experience in networking, IT infrastructure, ISP, or physical security solutions is highly desirable
- Native-level Japanese; business-level English preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills across technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong presentation and demo skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts
- Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong reliance on AI tools, LLMs, and automation to drive productivity and scale technical output
