At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform electrical validation for high-speed interfaces, including PCIe, Ethernet 10G/25G/100G/400G, DDR4/DDR5, SATA, and USB3.
- Perform signal validation for low-speed and control interfaces, such as I2C, SPI, MDIO, eMMC, GMII/RGMII, and related management buses.
- Execute signal quality measurements using oscilloscopes, BERT, network analyzers, and other signal analysis tools.
- Review and interpret electrical voltage, timing, jitter, eye diagram, and compliance requirements from IC vendors, interface standards, and internal design guidelines.
- Plan and execute power validation for multiphase power stages, DC/DC buck converters, PSU rails, and board-level power delivery networks.
- Perform power integrity validation, including ripple noise measurement, transient response, power sequencing, E-load testing, and PSU evaluation.
- Analyze SI/PI measurement results, identify potential root causes, and provide feedback to hardware design, layout, firmware, and vendor teams.
- Work with hardware and layout teams to define SI/PI validation plans, test coverage, test limits, and measurement methodologies.
- Generate validation reports to support project development stages, issue tracking, design reviews, and second-source verification.
- Develop and execute basic test scripts in Linux environments to support validation, automation, and data collection.
- Support debugging activities when signal or power performance does not meet specifications, and validate design improvements after corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in signal measurement, electrical validation, SI/PI testing, or hardware validation.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscope operation, probing, soldering, and board-level measurement setup.
- Familiar with high-speed and low-speed interface validation, such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR, SerDes, I2C, SPI, MDIO, eMMC, GMII/RGMII.
- Able to independently execute signal validation based on test plans, specifications, and measurement procedures.
- Able to understand and interpret electrical specifications from IC vendors, including PHY, SerDes, ASIC, switch, CPU/SoC, and power IC vendors.
- Familiar with Linux shell commands and basic scripting for test execution or automation.
- Good documentation skills, with the ability to prepare clear validation reports and summarize technical findings.
- Able to communicate in English for technical discussions, report writing, and vendor communication.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with BERT, VNA, spectrum analyzer, electronic load, power analyzer, or automated compliance test tools.
- Experience with Ethernet compliance testing based on IEEE 802.3bj, 802.3bm, 802.3bs, and 802.3cd is a plus.
- Experience with power integrity and DC/DC converter validation is a plus.
- Experience supporting design bring-up, issue debugging, and production issue analysis is preferred.
