At Ubiquiti, you’ll heighten your potential and broaden your horizons - all while shaping the future of connectivity.
In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and robustness of Ubiquiti networking products through design verification and system-level validation.
As a member of the DQA team, you will collaborate with hardware, software, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle to identify product risks, drive root cause analysis, and improve overall product quality.
You will work across multiple networking product lines, including Ethernet switches, NAS, NVR, ProAV, and future networking platforms. We are looking for engineers with strong technical curiosity, hands-on debugging skills, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies in a fast-paced development environment.
Your work will directly contribute to delivering reliable, high-quality products to customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and drive design quality validation throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Develop and execute system-level validation plans for networking products, including Ethernet switches, NAS, NVR, ProAV, and future networking platforms.
- Perform functional, interoperability, compatibility, stability, reliability, and environmental validation.
- Validate networking and platform features, including Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, PoE (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt), SFP interoperability, storage functionality, and overall system behavior, depending on the assigned product.
- Analyze validation results, identify product risks, and perform root cause analysis for hardware and system-level issues.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, mechanical, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve product issues and improve product quality.
- Develop and improve validation methodologies, automation tools, and test infrastructure to increase validation efficiency and coverage.
- Prepare clear technical reports and maintain high-quality validation documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in hardware validation, DQA, system validation, or product testing.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and fundamental networking concepts.
- Basic scripting skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages for test automation, debugging, or data analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in English technical communication and documentation.
- Self-motivated with strong learning ability and willingness to work across different networking product platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience validating networking products such as Ethernet switches, NAS, NVR, ProAV, or other embedded systems.
- Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies (VLAN, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, Static Routing, etc.).
- Hands-on experience developing Python-based automation tools, validation frameworks, or test infrastructure.
- Experience in system-level validation, interoperability testing, or hardware compatibility verification.
- Experience using laboratory equipment such as IXIA, Spirent, Wireshark, oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, or similar validation tools.
- Experience with reliability validation, thermal testing, power validation, EMI/EMC, or failure analysis.
- Experience participating in New Product Introduction (NPI), including design validation, production validation, and mass production, is a plus.
