Hybrid work

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in our Austin office.

About this role

As a Senior Product Manager, Discovery, you will lead our efforts to drive increased awareness, consideration, and purchasing of Udemy’s consumer offerings. This role is critical to making it easier for learners, teams, and businesses to find and buy the right products for their needs. You’ll work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing to build experiences and systems that drive growth and revenue. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of user behavior, a passion for solving complex challenges, and a data-driven approach to product decision-making.

What you'll be doing

  • Define and execute the strategy to drive conversion for Udemy’s enterprise business lines.

  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, data science, and marketing to build seamless user experiences that increase awareness and purchasing of our offerings.

  • Identify and remove friction points in the user journey, leveraging data to drive decisions and optimize conversion funnels.

  • Own the product roadmap for key conversion initiatives, prioritizing efforts based on business impact and user insights.

  • Partner with our marketing and consumer teams to drive new user acquisition and growth.

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, competitive landscape, and purchasing behaviors.

  • Lead A/B testing and experimentation programs to drive continuous conversion rate and revenue improvements.

  • Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

What you’ll have

While this work is based more on the skills a person has than what they have done, we think a typical profile could include the following: 

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including shipping consumer-facing and B2B products.

  • Proven track record of driving conversion and revenue growth through data-driven product strategies.

  • Experience with subscriptions, e-commerce marketplaces, and multi-product environments.

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience designing and interpreting A/B tests.

  • Ability to develop clear strategies, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

At Udemy, we strive to be transparent around compensation. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.

Hiring Compensation Range

$150,000 - $187,000 USD
