Hybrid work

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, Mexico City, and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office in Denver

About you

You are passionate about the art and science of SEO, with experience in improving search engine rankings and discoverability for B2B brands. You are familiar with not only the basics of SEO, but understand and are tracking how the landscape is rapidly changing in the age of AI. You understand the critical role high-quality content plays in generating B2B leads, and influencing the corporate buying committee. You have a track record working across the aisle with creative teams, copywriters, and engineering teams to create the best possible experience for leads and buyers. Fundamentally, you are an avid learner, fluent in the latest and greatest of SEO, motivated by the challenge of developing B2B content strategies that resonate with an enterprise audience, and excited to bring those skills to the world’s largest online education marketplace.

About this role

As a Sr. Associate of SEO for Udemy Business, you will be at the forefront of Udemy’s B2B content strategy, tasked with identifying SEO query priorities and shaping a content roadmap that drives organic lead generation. You will partner with teams across Udemy Business to influence and optimize B2B thought leadership and on-page content around identified priority queries and topics. You’ll contribute to an on-page testing roadmap designed to enhance the on-site experience for members of the buying committee in key verticals, and report and distill insights into decks and presentations for teams across Udemy Business.

What you'll be doing:

  • SEO Keyword Research & Reporting – You will conduct semantic keyword analysis based on your understanding of the Udemy Business offering and our competitive positioning. You’ll establish and regularly update a priority set of queries. You’ll communicate the changes to performance, rankings, and traffic of those queries to stakeholders across Udemy Business. Monitoring & tracking tools will include SEMRush, SimilarWeb, and BrightEdge.  

  • Improve On-Page & Technical SEO – You will work with marketing and engineering teams to optimize metadata, internal linking, site structure, and page performance for better search engine visibility on our WordPress platform. You’ll partner with engineering teams to test new page experiences that are optimized for qualified lead generation for 5 key verticals: professional services, financial services, tech, manufacturing, and retail.

  • Publish & Optimize Content - You will partner with global campaign teams, including copywriters, designers, and SMEs, to publish new content and update existing content on WordPress, and optimize pages for organic visibility and rankings. You’ll contribute to the analysis of performance for these new pieces of content, and help shape the methods by which we enhance the visibility of content on platforms like YouTube.

  • Measure & Report on Impact: You will monitor key SEO KPIs, such as traffic, organic market share, and query rankings. You’ll translate that data into actionable insights in decks and presentations, and communicate results to stakeholders across the org, driving understanding, support, and buy-in. 

What you’ll have

  • 2-3 years of experience in SEO, with at least 18 months of enterprise B2B SEO website and lead generation optimization experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience in designing A/B tests and a solid understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO). 

    • Must be familiar with Wordpress, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and able to ramp up quickly with other enterprise-level SEO tools.

  • Experience with semantic keyword research and content strategy.

  • Understanding of B2B lead generation strategies and how SEO contributes to B2B qualified lead acquisition.

About your Skills

  • B2B On-Page Optimization: Strong understanding of B2B lead generation, with the ability to leverage expert content and user-centric on-page experiences to generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) that turn into contract value.

  • Content Publishing: Familiarity with editing, publishing, and enhancing WordPress page content for maximum organic search discoverability.

  • Data Analysis & Presentations: Experience using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms to analyze data, track performance, and generate insights related to your SEO goals.

  • Written & Verbal Communication: The ability to distill complex sets of data into clear, focused, presentations tailored for various audiences across marketing, engineering, sales customer success, and leadership.

  • Project management: A track record managing complex timelines, working with many cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering output at speed.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.

Hiring Compensation Range

$76,000 - $95,000 USD
