Hybrid work

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office at the nearest hub. About this role

As the EMEA Manager of the Sales and Solutions Engineering team based in Dublin/Ireland, you will be responsible for leading a team of Solution Engineers who are pivotal in integrating Udemy Business solutions with enterprise clients across the EMEA region. Your role will involve strategic planning, team development, working directly with the EMEA Sales teams, overseeing technical opportunities/projects, supporting the business in meeting the Revenue growth goals, etc.  You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, enhancing our product offerings and ensuring alignment with business goals. Your leadership will guide the team in navigating technical challenges, fostering continuous learning, growing the business and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SaaS technologies, pre-sales engineering, and team leadership, with excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build, lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales and Solutions Engineers, cultivating a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer centricity.

  • Oversee and strategize complex technical projects, ensuring successful integration of Udemy Business with enterprise SaaS applications through APIs, SSO, and other technical solutions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, aligning engineering efforts with sales, product development, professional services and customer success objectives.

  • Work closely with the EMEA Sales Leadership team to execute against the KPIs of the business on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. 

  • Drive the creation of technical documentation, including integration guides and technical resources for diverse audiences.

  • Guide and showcase impactful and tailored product demonstrations, showcasing the value and capabilities of our SaaS Solution while also strategically articulating our product roadmap.

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product development.

  • Analyze customer trends and feedback to enhance product positioning and pre-sales strategies.

What you’ll have 

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role within a Sales Engineering or Solutions Consulting function, preferably in a SaaS environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, drive strategic initiatives, and manage complex projects.

  • Proven experience of delivering Value to large Enterprise customers

  • Proven track record of hiring strong & successful Solution Engineers in a SaaS environment

  • Extensive experience of dealing directly with larger Enterprise customers at C-Level

  • Deep technical expertise in SaaS integration, particularly with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, etc.), APIs, and web application architecture.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to various audiences and fostering partnerships with stakeholders.

  • Proven experience of strong operational ability delivering in a KPI driven environment

  • A strategic mindset with a focus on delivering customer-centric solutions and achieving business outcomes.

  • Experience working with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales processes.

  • A problem-solver with a customer-first mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
