Hybrid work

Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. Our robust hybrid work model spans San Francisco, Denver, Ankara, Dublin, and Melbourne. This hybrid position requires two days per week in the office at the nearest hub. About you 

You are a collaborative Product Designer with a robust foundation in design thinking and excel with autonomous projects. Skilled at solving complex problems with innovative solutions, you are driven by impactful projects and excel in a collaborative environment. You’re ready to work and learn alongside the best in Product, Design, and Engineering.

About this role 

As a Senior Product Designer, you will guide the design of our Growth & Discovery experience from concept to delivery, ensuring they are intuitive, accessible, and engaging. Working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and UX researchers, you will develop products that cater to a diverse international community. Your focus will be on designing interfaces that are intuitive and will have a positive impact on our users. You will also develop features that meet the unique needs of users, improving the overall educational experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to form hypotheses for enhancing the user experience.
  • Work closely with your team's product manager, engineering lead, and other leaders to prioritize key issues and opportunities.
  • Lead your team in ideation sessions and workshops to address these priorities and develop effective solutions.
  • Drive the design process through multiple iterations and rounds of feedback involving your team, stakeholders, the broader design group, and end users.
  • Validate design solutions through research and user feedback, continuously evaluating their impact and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Project Management Skills: You possess project management skills, effectively planning and organizing project tasks, setting timelines, and managing resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.

What you’ll have

  • 4+ years of full-time product design experience
  • A portfolio of end-to-end product design work that showcases your involvement, from research and discovery to visual design and engineering implementation support, and demonstrates your ability to ship quality experiences.
  • Experience designing a holistic and scalable experience.
  • Willingness to learn and operate across the design team.
  • Experience working with medium-sized agile development teams.
  • Lead large efforts involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Well organized, disciplined, and able to manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Growth Design experience is a plus but not required

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.

Hiring Compensation Range

$1,200,000 - $1,500,000 MXN
