Where we work

Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position in Mexico City, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

 

About your skills

  • Research Design: You have expertise in designing and executing brand-focused research using mixed methodologies. You can identify the right approach for each research question and deliver actionable insights.

  • Stakeholder Management: You build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand research needs and deliver contextualized insights that drive decision-making.

  • Data Analysis & Storytelling: You transform complex data into compelling narratives that communicate clear, actionable insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Cross-Cultural Perspective: You bring a global mindset to research, with an understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to deliver insights that resonate across different markets.

 

About this role 

As a Market Researcher focusing on Brand and Instructor Insights at Udemy, you'll spearhead research initiatives that shape our marketing and advertising strategies while deepening our understanding of instructors worldwide. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that support our mission of improving lives through learning

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Design and execute brand-focused research projects using mixed methodologies (surveys, interviews, focus groups, social listening).

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to identify research needs and provide contextualized insights and action plans. 

  • Develop and present research results to leadership teams to inform marketing and product strategies. 

  • Manage vendor relationships for large scale research projects. 

  • Manage and improve ongoing programs to track audience metrics and brand health.

  • Support research initiatives led by other teams to expand data-driven decision-making across the company. 

  • Conduct branding and messaging research to identify opportunities for brand growth.

 

What you’ll have

  • 3+ years of applied research experience (including 2 in market research), or a relevant master’s degree with 1–2 years of market research experience, or a PhD with less direct experience.

  • Expertise in conducting brand-focused research using mixed methodologies • Proficiency in survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer).

  • Advanced skills in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, MarketSight).

  • Excel/Sheets skills for data analysis and visualization.

  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish (additional language proficiency is a bonus).

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

At Udemy, we strive to be transparent around compensation. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for equity.

Hiring Compensation Range

$880,000 - $1,100,000 MXN
