Can you ensure effective financial management and accountability for life-saving humanitarian programmes in Sudan?

UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity. Born of the British National Health Service, we’ve been working for over 30 years towards a world where everyone has the healthcare they need when crises or disasters hit.

UK-Med is currently implementing a life-saving secondary healthcare programme in North Darfur, Sudan, in partnership with Relief International. The project provides essential paediatric and maternal healthcare services to children under five and pregnant and lactating mothers in Dabat Naira IDP camp, alongside capacity building and training for frontline health workers within the district health office and local NGOs.

To support the continued delivery and growth of this programme, we are seeking an experienced Finance Coordinator to provide financial leadership and oversight across UK-Med's Sudan operations. Working closely with the Humanitarian Team Lead, programme teams, national staff and UK-Med HQ, you will ensure that financial resources are managed effectively, compliantly and transparently in a complex humanitarian environment.

The Finance Coordinator will lead all aspects of programme financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash management, donor compliance, payroll oversight and financial reporting. You will play a critical role in supporting operational decision-making, ensuring strong financial controls are maintained and providing timely financial information to support effective programme delivery.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience in finance management within humanitarian, development or international NGO settings, with strong knowledge of donor compliance, budgeting, financial reporting and financial controls. You will be comfortable operating in dynamic and challenging environments, able to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational support, and committed to enabling high-quality humanitarian programming through strong financial management.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the delivery of life-saving healthcare services in one of the world's most challenging humanitarian contexts, while supporting UK-Med's mission to provide quality healthcare where it is needed most.
