About the Role
Our ecosystem professional 3D printers backed by essential software like Cura — needs strong, experienced product leadership. We’re looking for someone who understands the tight connection between hardware and software, isn’t afraid to ask hard questions, and has experience taking underperforming or stagnant product lines and turning them into successful, customer-loved offerings.
You’ll take ownership of a core part of our portfolio, drive alignment across departments, and bring clarity and urgency to our product strategy and execution. This is not a maintenance role this is a rescue mission.
🔧 What You’ll Do
- Own the full product lifecycle for one or more key Ultimaker hardware/software product lines.
- Drive roadmap definition, prioritization, and execution based on customer needs, business goals, and technical realities.
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Support to drive product success.
- Identify and correct gaps in our current product-market fit, UX, or go-to-market strategy.
- Bring focus and urgency to execution whether that's scoping a firmware update or redefining a product release plan.
- Act as the voice of the product internally and externally clearly, confidently, and credibly.
- Use data, user research, and market analysis to inform decisions, not just instincts.
- Help define KPIs, measure product performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Step in and make things happen when they need to happen no waiting for permission.
👤 What You Bring
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in hardware + software companies.
- Proven success managing complex physical products that rely on integrated software platforms.
- Experience leading or significantly contributing to a product turnaround or repositioning.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, aligning stakeholders, and saying no when needed.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and operational constraints.
- Technical background (engineering, physics, industrial design, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with professional user environments (e.g., R&D labs, workshops, manufacturing floors).
- Experience working with UX, QA, firmware, and software engineers in tandem.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
🔍 What Makes You a Good Fit
- You don't just ship features — you fix broken processes and unblock teams.
- You're as comfortable on the factory floor as you are in a pitch deck or roadmap session.
- You make decisions based on impact, not ego.
- You ask hard questions, challenge softly, and act quickly.
