ULTRA MOBILE is seeking a talented Manager, Salesforce Engineering to join the Tech Ops Team!  Individual reports to the Director, Implementation. Role is remote; must reside in the United States.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager of Salesforce Engineering oversees a team of Salesforce engineers and admins to design, build, and maintain Salesforce solutions that align with strategic business goals. This role involves shaping the Salesforce platform strategy, collaborating cross-functionally to drive solution delivery, and ensuring platform scalability and reliability. Responsibilities include project prioritization, code review, architecture design, and the integration of third-party applications, all while driving process improvements and cost savings. Additionally, the manager provides mentorship, fosters technical growth, and manages both onshore and offshore resources.

In this role, you will play a key role in the development and management of all Salesforce-related software. With extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform, apex code and API’s, you will help with the development and the successful execution of the Salesforce roadmap. You will actively explore and evaluate new software tools, staying informed about the latest industry trends and innovations. Your creative thinking will be instrumental in devising innovative ways to leverage software solutions to support the organization's sales goals. Effective communication skills will be vital as you collaborate with upper management to analyze challenges and propose software-related solutions that align with the company's objectives.

To excel in this position, you must be dedicated to continuous learning and be willing to delve into the necessary details to understand the company's goals, as well as the available software solutions that can support them. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the overall success of our company's SaaS implementation strategy, driving enhanced productivity, time savings, and salesforce-related software architectural development. Your primary focus will be on Salesforce, and you will be expected to have Salesforce Senior/lead Developer-level skills, enabling you to mentor a team of direct reports and guide them to achieve the same level of expertise. Your ability to lead and prioritize workload will be essential in ensuring successful implementation and ongoing management of the company's SaaS applications.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

  • Technology: Responsible for learning, developing and implementing new software solutions to assist our operations and sales teams, along with working on a diverse set of software platforms with all cross-functional teams
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce engineers, administrators, and analysts, providing guidance on best practices, technical challenges, and career growth
  • Responsible for managing a team of Salesforce offshore developers
  • Responsible for reporting and analyzing ticketing and care related data
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of third-party Salesforce applications and tools, as needed
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with Salesforce development standards and security requirements
  • Drive initiatives to improve the team’s productivity, streamline processes, and stay current with Salesforce advancements
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements
  • Cross-Channel Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between business departments and engineering teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable technical plans
  • Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of business processes, products, and services. Use this knowledge to identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization, and innovation
  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex technical and business problems, employing a creative and analytical mindset to identify optimal solutions. Proactively address issues and roadblocks that may arise during project implementation, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Innovation: Drive innovation within the implementation engineering team by encouraging new ideas, exploring alternative approaches, and leveraging emerging technologies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and exploration of cutting-edge solutions
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across business departments and engineering teams Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback, understand requirements, and manage expectations throughout the implementation process

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 6+ years of experience with Salesforce Admin/Developer/Architect, including at least 2 years in a managerial or lead capacity
  • 8+ Years of analyst or business manager experience 
  • 4+ years in wireless; sales/operations/technical operations/care 
  • 3+ years of experience with Jira development (cloud instance preferred) 
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect are highly preferred.
  • Knowledge with using/implementing Salesforce service cloud, einstein, and Agent Force functionality.
  • Advanced understanding of monitoring/reporting SaaS platforms 
  • Self-directed Leader, ability to prioritize and manage workload for a larger team 
  • Experience managing medium to large scale cross functional technical teams and projects 
  • Ability to analyze raw data and collaborate with cross functional departments to identify   opportunities 
  • Advanced troubleshooting and fault isolation skills
