Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Manager of Digital Marketing at our non-profit distance higher education institution is responsible for analyzing and optimizing digital campaign performance across all paid media channels. This role is crucial in enhancing lead quality and quantity from UMAE’s web properties, ensuring the effectiveness of diverse marketing campaigns, and collaborating with a team of experts to meet monthly goals within budget.

What You’ll Do: 

  1. Develop Marketing Reports and Dashboards: Collaborate with the Business Insights team to create comprehensive marketing reports and dashboards, including scheduled and ad hoc reports for senior leadership.
  2. Data Analysis and Campaign Recommendations: Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis to provide data-driven recommendations for campaign adjustments.
  3. Vendor Communication and Campaign Analysis: Interface with vendors to discuss campaign results, analyze performance and ROI, and provide regular reports using Excel.
  4. Compliance Management: Create and maintain compliance standards for 3rd party lead generation campaigns. Review and approve vendor ads to ensure adherence to guidelines.
  5. Collaboration and Review: Work with the Digital Marketing team to gather 3rd party ad copy for internal review, revision, and approval. Communicate revisions to partners and ensure implementation.
  6. Quarterly Business Reviews: Conduct review sessions with major 3rd party partners to review scorecards, heatmaps, and compliance violation reports.
  7. Compliance Scoring and Reporting: Create and maintain a compliance scoring rubric for 3rd party marketing partners’ call recordings and campaigns. Generate quarterly compliance reports, including Verisk reports and documented violations.
  8. Campaign Testing and Optimization: Collaborate with teammates to test placement, creative, and other digital advertising elements to increase lead volume, improve conversion rates, and lower acquisition costs.
  9. Partner Onboarding and Lead Management: Assist with onboarding new partners and performance marketing software for end-to-end lead testing. Ensure proper setup of marketing sources, campaigns, lead filters, and restrictions. Create new vendors and sources as needed and set up lead alerts to identify potential issues with lead delivery.
  10. System Configuration and Vendor Setup: Set up new vendors and lead sources in enterprise systems. Collaborate with IT to configure settings in ELeads, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, especially in marketing, business, communications or information systems, or related.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience in a marketing analytics role.
  • Skills – collaboration, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, communication, stakeholder influence, and data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Any advanced degree or equivalent work experience, especially in a technical Marketing role.
  • Google Analytics Individual Certification (GAIQ), Google Ads Certification, Hootsuite Social Marketing Certification, Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP), or related certifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Other skills or abilities – attribution tools (Google, Facebook, etc.), Google Analytics, Verisk/Jornaya products, and/or Sparkroom experience.

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable state laws and rules, federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations and internal policies and procedures.  
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department. 

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This is a full-time remote position.
  • Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.
  • May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$100,000 - $130,000 USD
