Purpose of the Position:

The People Systems Analyst administers the day-to-day operations of the organizations human resources information system (“HRIS”).  Support People Team (“PT”) professionals and team members with technology-related activities. The position drives process effectiveness, maintains accurate documentation, and supports PT technology-related projects and activities.  The role troubleshoots HRIS issues and applies independent judgment and discretion to resolve problems and requests.

Part-Time: 20-29 hours per week

What you’ll do:  

  1. Provide HRIS administration: Manage and maintain the organization’s HRIS applications and related systems.  Ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry, maintaining data integrity. Support user permissions, and system configuration work. Tests new features, updates, or system integrations to ensure proper functionality. Review and resolve HRIS inbox requests. 
  2. Participate in process improvement: Implement HRIS process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with People Team stakeholders and leaders to streamline technology processes. 
  3. Respond to HRIS data and report requests: Prepare scheduled and ad-hoc reports and provide data extraction for various analytics and reporting requirements. Support data updates, data imports, and data cleansing efforts. 
  4. Provide user support: Assist team members with HRIS related questions, issues, and training needs. Troubleshoot and resolve HRIS user problems. 
  5. Documentation and Training: Maintain documentation, including user guides and process manuals for People Systems. Assist in developing and delivering training materials for system users. 
  6. HR Knowledge Integration: Integrate HR knowledge and understanding gained from ongoing learning and training into technology support and solutions.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in human resources, information technology, or related field.
  • Experience using HR technology tools; HRIS software (UKG Preferred), and other supporting HR systems (e.g., applicant tracking, learning management systems, performance management, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, or analytics software.
  • Strong technical skills, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to provide meaningful insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, and collaborate to effectively navigate and solve concerns.
  • Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
  • Ability to contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Computer literacy/basic computer skills to effectively navigate and utilize the technology required for the role.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role: HR technology, HRIS administration, or related areas.
  • Proficient project management skills, as the role may involve participating in HR technology projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.

Compliance: 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and carefully follow all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.   
  • Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: 

  • This is a remote position. 
  • Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection. 
  • May require setup of computer equipment; accommodation consideration available upon request. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed. 

Anticipated starting salary is based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation Range

$30,000 - $35,000 USD
