Project Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager – Expansion is responsible for leading the successful execution of branch expansions, new location openings, relocations, and facility improvement projects across the organization. This role serves as the central point of coordination among internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and leadership teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with company standards. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and execution-focused professional with experience managing multiple projects in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all phases of expansion projects, including planning, design coordination, construction oversight, operational readiness, and launch activities.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project documentation to ensure successful execution.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Sales, IT, Finance, and Leadership to maintain alignment and accountability throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure quality, cost, and timeline expectations are met.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, obstacles, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies when necessary.
- Ensure new and relocated facilities are fully operational and compliant with company standards, processes, and operational requirements prior to launch.
- Provide regular project status updates, reporting, and communication to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Standardize project execution processes and support continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and scalability across expansion efforts.
- Conduct post-project reviews to evaluate outcomes, identify lessons learned, and recommend process improvements.
- Support additional strategic initiatives and operational projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience supporting multi-site operations, expansion projects, construction projects, or facility development initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, operational workflows, budgeting, and project execution methodologies.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing external vendors and contractors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software/tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience supporting branch expansions, retail openings, distribution facilities, or operational infrastructure projects.
- Experience working within construction, building products, manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.
