We are looking for a Senior Strategist to join Translation! Please note that this role requires three days in office and two days remote.
What You'll Do
- Drive the creation, evolution, and execution of comprehensive brand strategies that align with client objectives, market trends, and audience needs
- Ensure strategies are grounded in clear, actionable insights and translate effectively into creative work across multiple touchpoints and product streams
- Maintain the quality, clarity, and accuracy of audience, cultural, and brand insights to inform the “why” and “how” of every brief
- Use data-driven analysis and qualitative research to guide strategic decisions, fostering deep connections between brands and their consumer
- Partner with data strategists, context planners, account managers, creatives, and other stakeholders to develop integrated strategic responses to brand assignments
- Be prepared to lead client conversations as needed with confidence and continuity
- Contribute to the agency’s intellectual capital by uncovering and decoding audience and cultural insights that can drive future brand strategies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to craft compelling narratives
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-managed environment, taking initiative and driving projects to completion
- A deep passion for culture, with a keen understanding of how societal trends, behaviors, and cultural dynamics shape consumer attitudes
- Ability to work on fast/shifting timelines while ensuring consistent quality of work
- Strong quantitative and research skills with proven data interpretation capabilities
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in brand strategy, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategies across multiple channels and platforms.
- Well-rounded strategic skill set, including expertise in consumer research, social strategy, communications planning, and brand development
- Demonstrated passion in designing and executing consumer research that yield meaningful insights and drive brand innovation
- Experience leading consumer insights and strategy for diverse audiences, with a particular focus on the African American market

Salary Hiring Range: $105,000 - $125,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)
Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
