We are looking for an Executive Producer to join Translation!

This role is based in Brooklyn, New York with four days in-office and one day remote.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for all aspects of the production process from concept development through job wrap on specific accounts, including management of other producers, internal teams, outside vendors and clients.
  • Produce various types of large, complex jobs as well as quick turn assignments, on time and on budget. 
  • Develop good working relationships with other account leads, clients, and 3rd party client vendors (i.e. procurement groups, media agencies, PR firms, etc)
  • Manage, mentor and grow the producers working on your account and delegate assignments based on project needs.
  • Work closely with account leads on upcoming projects to vet ideas while bringing production solutions to the table to accomplish the creative vision and get to the best work possible.
  • Set up processes and ways of working to ensure production on your accounts runs smoothly.
  • Attends shoots and post sessions to ensure the creative output is at its highest quality.
  • Follow financial and job wrap policies of the production department, client and agency.
  • Seek opportunities for underrepresented creators both in the agency and within the industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Have an outstanding creative sensibility with a proven track record of producing industry leading work.
  • Existing relationships with best in class industry partners plus a network of talent to consider and recommend for freelance / specialty consulting needs when required.
  • A track record of gaining the trust and respect of clients, internal teams and industry partners. 
  • A passion for mentoring junior production staff.
  • The ability to work under pressure with flexibility, agility, and a good sense of humor.
  • Well versed in managing budgets and deadlines of all types with accuracy and diplomacy.
  • Superb problem solving, organizational, and communications skills.
  • Demonstrate, evangelize and live the core values of the agency. 
  • Incorporate the passion, excitement and experience of one’s MINOR in relevant ways that inform the quality and output of the company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of production experience at a creative driven company.
  • Experience running accounts and/or managing key pieces of business through large campaign work where you were the client facing production lead.
  • After hours work and overnight travel to shoots and post sessions required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A portfolio of work showing large and small budget productions for various media.
  • Experience working with celebrities, athletes, musicians, influencers, etc. 
  • Experience with union and non-union crew productions, including both SAG and non-SAG talent. 
  • Passion and knowledge of latest industry trends (music, media, distribution, directors, film, tech, etc).

Salary Hiring Range: $160,000 - $190,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.  We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. 

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.  If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.

The salary range above is for the NY/CA.  As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
