Product Owner (CRM)

Anywhere in the United States

In collaboration with Product Management, you will help drive the development of our CRM solution and will be a contributor to our overall product strategy. With thousands of customers, your actions and contributions will have far-reaching impacts on one of Unanet’s fastest growing product lines. Your strength will come from your dedicated scrum team, one that is comprised of senior engineers that have built and maintained advanced web applications in several organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and manage intake into the product backlog, including ongoing grooming and prioritization aligned to business and customer needs; make data-informed prioritization decisions that balance customer value and business outcomes
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand the ‘Why’ to enable you to own the ‘What’ and ‘How’ in detailed user stories; translate product roadmap initiatives into executable work in collaboration with Product Management
  • Research, define, and design requirements and scope through epics, user stories, and diagrams; write and maintain user stories with clear acceptance criteria to ensure shared understanding across teams
  • Facilitate iteration planning and refinement sessions to ensure the team has clear, actionable, and organized work; increase refinement velocity and sprint execution effectiveness by partnering with engineering to ensure user stories are well-defined, prioritized, ready for development, accurately estimated, and unblocked throughout the sprint lifecycle
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the development team, enabling efficient and timely delivery; partner closely with engineering to support estimation, clarify requirements, and remove blockers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and execute against the roadmap
  • Develop a strong understanding of the industry, product domain, and user personas to guide prioritization
  • Validate functionality and workflows to ensure we’re solving the right problems for our customers; validate delivered work meets acceptance criteria and supports successful releases
  • Balance net new feature work and ticket-based work, partnering with development and quality assurance to triage, troubleshoot, and re-create tickets

Your First 90 Days

In your first 30 days, you’ll understand our product from the lens of its current capabilities and what is to be delivered in the coming year. In partnership with Product Management, clarify and realign requirements by helping refactor user stories, increasing our likelihood of success in delivery. Work with our Scrum Master, Tech, and Team Leads to better understand your team’s nuances and capabilities.

By day 90, you’ll have helped plan our roadmap for the next two quarters. You’ll guide your Scrum Team as they execute on this plan. You’ll partner with your peer Product Owners to proactively define, rank and groom cross-team dependencies and ensure planned initiatives are deliverable.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
