About the role:
Unbonce is seeking a dynamic and motivated Software & Services Solutions Engineer for our Customer Relationship Management software, Insightly CRM to join our Sales team. The Software & Solutions Engineer role will be a blend of being a Project Manager, Consultant, Solutions Engineer and Insightly CRM Ninja. The Software & Solutions Engineer primary responsibility is to facilitate professional services between new/current customers and Insightly. You may also assist in pre-sales technical support and scoping, working on custom projects for customers, and delivering on time projects.
These activities include client meetings with technical and non-technical audiences to support the sales process, analyze requirements, write custom code enhancements to existing code bases, testing, and go-live support for clients. Additionally, the Software & Solutions Engineer will be a technical leader and mentor to internal stakeholders and be the technical liaison between Customer Care, Customer Success, Product and Engineering to foster the growth of Insightly products based on feedback and demand.
The Software & Solutions Engineer will report to the Sr. Software & Solutions Engineer. This is a full time, remote position, eligible to be hired in either USA or Canada, however immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
What you'll be doing:
- Support pre-sales scoping and acts as a technical mentor for clients in transferring solution critical knowledge
- Prepare Statements of Work (SOW) and deliver to clients within SLA guidelines
- Project Manage all PS projects from “kickoff call” to UAT (user acceptance testing) and signoff
- Leads the implementation efforts for multiple projects in various phases of implementation
- Meets directly with client's business users to communicate functionality of the software, and walk through the integration within in their end-system
- Works with client’s technical team to facilitate the integration, communicate technical objectives and provide custom solutions
- Works within overall project plan and schedule
- Provides feedback to customers and creates structured documentation
- Advises client on configuration and implementation options based on industry best practices
- Participates in customization design sessions with the client and project team
- Ensures that all implementation methodology deliverables are complete and on-time
- Generates timely project status, time, and expense reports as requested by management
- Provides customer support in local time zone and contributes to customer self-service tools
A little about you:
- Possess a BA/BS in Engineering/IT related discipline and/or 1-2 years related experience
Proven ability to read, write, troubleshoot and debug code proficiently
Have knowledge of Web application development (Java and/or JavaScript) along with experience in working with API technologies: Java, Javascript, XML and JSON
Familiar with AWS Lambda
Flexible in picking up custom projects outside of comfort zone
5+ years in a customer facing role
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills / VBA
Solid understanding of website/internet technologies and ability to debug using browser tools
Self-starter and exceptional communicator who is comfortable working independently
Understanding of key online marketing strategies and concepts, best practices
Detailed, organized and has a sense of ownership
Able to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
Knowledge and experience working in SaaS or cloud application companies within the CRM ecosystem
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have, not required:
- Experience working with CMSs (Drupal, Adobe, Optimizely etc) or MAS (Eloqua, Marketo) is a plus
- Knowledge of Ruby, C#, Node.js
- Front end development - CSS, HTML
- Understands Agile PM methodology
- Knowledge of security and authentication protocols such as SAML 2.0, Active Directory, OAuth, SSO, and third party providers such as Okta, Ping Identity, etc.. a plus

The following compensation ranges are a combination of salary + variable pay
For US applicants:
- $73,526 - $110,290
For Canadian applicants:
- $67,998 - $88,319
