You will focus on generating, validating, and pre-qualifying a strong pipeline of leads and prospects within your territory to feed our sales funnel.

What you’re responsible for:

  • Research prospects, target accounts, and potential leads.
  • Generate leads through outbound cold calling, emailing and social engagement.
  • Provide validated and pre-qualified leads to Business Development to be further developed and converted to Sales opportunities.
  • Set appointments for Business Development to meet with prospective clients.
  • Work collaboratively within your direct team, as well as with the broader Client Solutions (sales) teams.
  • Document client contacts, keep notes and track activity/engagement in Salesforce.
  • Supporting lead source analysis and aiding in the development of actionable insights to drive business development strategies.
  • Collaborating with Regional Marketing & Communications teams to ensure brand messaging aligns with client engagement goals.
  • Contributing to the development of creative and inclusive approaches for attracting target clients.
  • Helping in the creation and execution of local research strategies in partnership with Client Relations and Regional Principals to identify, qualify, and win new clients.
  • Maintaining and tracking relationships with key local clients, including new, existing, and potential contacts.
  • Partnering with the Global Business Development team to identify opportunities for cross-regional collaboration and client development.
  • Supporting lead management initiatives and helping ensure that processes are followed to drive outcomes aligned with team goals.
  • Identifying potential risks (legal, reputational, financial) and escalating to leadership, when necessary, while ensuring ethical practices are followed.
  • Ensuring correct and timely input of client information and activity into the CRM system.
  • Supporting the implementation of Business Development methodologies, standards, and processes to enhance team effectiveness and efficiency.

How we’ll measure success:

  • Lead Handover: Successfully contributing to the validation, qualification, and advancement of new leads through to RFP inclusion or proposal submission.
  • Sales Conversion: Helping to achieve a high percentage of successful lead-to-sale conversions.
  • Activity Metrics: Regular involvement in Business Development activities, including meetings, networking events, and new lead identification.
  • Collaborative Feedback: Receiving positive feedback from internal teams on your collaboration and contribution to business growth.
  • CRM Accuracy: Ensuring CRM data is consistently updated with accurate and timely information.

Your experience & skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in a client-facing business development or client relations role, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience using strategic outreach techniques such as cold calling and research to generate leads and connect with potential clients.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and understand client needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data management. Salesforce experience is preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with internal teams across functions.
  • A passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to fostering these values in your work with clients and colleagues.

Base Pay Range

$65,000 - $80,000 USD
