Role Profile:

 

As a Junior Interior Designer at Unispace in Mumbai, you will support our design team in creating innovative and functional workplace environments. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across all phases of the design and build process, from concept development to technical documentation and project execution. You will work closely with Senior Interior Designers and Architects, contributing to diverse projects and gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic global firm.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist Senior Interior Designers and Architects in developing design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes.

  • Prepare design presentations and documentation using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and other relevant software.

  • Produce and revise technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and details, primarily using Revit.

  • Support the selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and finishes, researching new products and trends.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including strategists, architects, and construction managers, to ensure design intent is carried through all project stages.

  • Assist with site visits, measurements, and documentation of existing conditions.

  • Organize and maintain design libraries, material samples, and project files.

  • Contribute to project coordination, ensuring adherence to design guidelines and quality standards.

  • Learn and apply local building codes and industry best practices relevant to interior design in Mumbai.


 

About You:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.

  • 0-2 years of experience in interior design, including internships or relevant academic projects.

  • Proficiency in Revit (essential).

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, for presentations and graphic work.

  • Familiarity with other design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp is a plus.

  • Understanding of basic design principles, space planning, and materials.

  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating impactful interior spaces.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to support multiple tasks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Eager to learn, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
