Lead Instrumentation Engineer

Role Profile

As a Lead Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll have full autonomy to lead, grow, and develop your role within the business. You’ll play a key role in the selection of a variety of high-precision instruments to be in complex P&IDs for our client's Pharmaceuitcal sites. You'll also act as a representative for our business to the client. You’ll be reporting into the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Manager. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Developing Schematics, Drawings, Instructions, Instrumentation Specs, and Statements to ensure Best Practices throughout development. 
  • Developing Instrument data sheets as well as taking responsibility of completion and verification life cycles. 
  • Consulting with Project team, Clients, and the contracts team to develop a full technical understanding of the project. 
  • Co-ordinating with Sales, Project Engineers, Suppliers, Customers, and Sub-Contractors to ensure smooth project delivery. 
  • Participating in HAZOPs, ATEX, and SIL assessments as needed. 
  • Strong understanding of DCS/PCS, BMS, and PLC systems. 
  • Completing conceptual designs for new control systems and creating strategies to customise these to clients. 

About You

We expect that you’ll be degree educated or have equivalent experience in Instrumentation Engineering. You’ll need to bring significant experience in the I&C space.

Ideally you'll have experience in Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences, however we're open to hearing from any background.

This role is based in our Group London office 2 days/week, however you will be required to visit our Cork Engineering COE once a month to reconnect with the wider Life Sciences team.
