Lead Business Development

Role Profile
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Lead Business Development professional to drive growth for our Life Sciences business in the Cork region, with a specific focus on process-driven projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting Unispace Life Sciences' expertise in delivering complex, process-intensive facilities.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Identify and target potential clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device sectors within the Cork region.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing clients.
- Understand client needs and challenges, and develop tailored solutions that align with Unispace Life Sciences' capabilities.
- Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Represent Unispace Life Sciences at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reports to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, science, or business.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the life sciences industry, with a focus on process-driven projects.
- Proven track record of success in winning new business and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, biotechnology, and medical device production.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
- Willingness to travel as required within the Cork region.
